And the PC gaming community fixes that, by the way, they made spliscreen possible in Borderlands on PC by running two copies of the game and using LAN, because the game is not very resource hungry. Politics aside, your best bet is to play in LAN using two PCs. Many games out there can be modded to make it possible.

I've join his party and we played like 4 or 5 hours. We've managed to get our "resistance points" for the west zone up to 2 and a half. More resistance points = better weapons being unlocked in the shop. Except for me. It seems like the player 2 does not progress resistance points. Could it be?
Mar 27, 2018 · Co-op progression in Far Cry 5 seems to be bothering lots of players. Namely, the fact there isn’t any is being frowned upon by a lot of people. There’s a lot of confusion around playing with friends, and the entire multiplayer component. We’re going to try and clear things up for you in our Far Cry 5 co-op guide.
OP is having an issue where their router settings are conflicting with Ubi's online service. They will need to change their router settings, or use a VPN to fix the issue. Ubi does prevent LAN co-op. There is NO LAN functionality in any Dunia 2 engine game. Far Cry 2 has actual LAN support, for comparison.
